TERMS OF SERVICE
PRICING, DELIVERY, & REFUND POLICY
Except for our
Scholarship Searches (see
Scholarship Search Services below)
clients pay for half of all services ordered
when paying by check, and the balance within
15 days of billing. Credit card payments are
for the full amount due. Most services are
completed within two weeks, but can take
longer if a client chooses to take more time
to finish their parts of the
process. Consulting time can occur in
person, online, or by phone, and all reports are
delivered in digital format.
LOW & MODERATE INCOME DISCOUNT
Career Solutions offers a
discount for clients with low or moderate
incomes, based on their financial aid status
and reported Expected Family Contribution,
or EFC. This can be calculated by going to
www.fafsa4caster.ed.gov.
--Level 1
Discount: 25% discount for clients
with an EFC $4,000 or less
--Level 2 Discount: 15% discount for
clients with an EFC under $9,000
To be eligible for this
discount, clients must provide Career
Solutions with a copy of their Student Aid
Report (SAR) for the current year, or proof
of financial status so we can estimate their
EFC using the Federal Methodology (at no
charge). Career Solutions will have sole
discretion as to the discount level clients
qualify for in special circumstances.
Clients should indicate that they want to
apply for the income discount program when
ordering services and must complete their
FAFSA within one week of ordering
services to qualify.
CAREER & COLLEGE RESEARCH SERVICES
Career Solutions provides
research services for our clients, and does
not counsel clients on which options to
choose. In each narrow-down process, we will
compare up to 60 careers and 30 colleges,
with additional options added at a prorated
rate. Clients accept full responsibility for
any decisions they make and will not hold
Career Solutions liable for the results of
their choices. The information provided to
clients in the reports created by Career
Solutions comes from independent sources
such as the U.S. Departments of Labor and
Education, and those sources are responsible
for the accuracy of their published
information.
SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH SERVICES
Career Solutions charges
no money up front for scholarship search
services. Clients are billed after they
receive scholarship application
opportunities that fit their Scholarship
Profile. Clients can limit how many
personalized scholarships they want Career
Solutions to find for them; however, we
cannot guarantee any specific number of
awards will be found, or that a client will
win an award from one of the sources we
find. Clients are responsible for completing
applications, although we will review
completed applications free of charge, and
assist with essays for the hourly rate
listed.
Because our goal is to
find scholarships that our clients have not
located for themselves, clients can submit a
list of any scholarships they’ve already
located for themselves with their
Scholarship Profile. Awards that fit their
profile which can be applied for within 12
months from our report are considered
eligible, including separate awards on
combined multi-scholarship applications.
Aside from recent high school graduate
scholarships, any specific awards that no
longer fit the client's profile or expire
within one year from our report will be
replaced within 30 days of our being
notified of the error by the client, or a
refund will be issued.
A level 1 search includes a database of 2
dozen
general awards and up to 5 awards specific
to a client's Scholarship Profile. Level 2
scholarship searches have defined limits on
the number of awards to be found. Essay
editing prices apply to one draft
revision for essays that are no more than
500 words in length. Longer or additional
essays are prorated from this basis.
EMPLOYMENT PREPARATION SERVICES
Career Solutions will
assist the client in preparing a first draft
résumé and cover letter as well as one
additional revision based on the client’s
feedback for the price listed. Additional
revisions will be billed at the hourly
consulting rate. Mock interview, job shadow,
and internship assistance will be billed at
that same rate. Digital video taping of mock
interviews is also available at no
additional cost. Career Solutions is not an
employment service and does not find jobs
for clients.
Career Solutions keeps
all client information strictly
confidential. None of the personal data that
we gather will be sold or shared with any
outside parties unless otherwise agreed to
by the client. No refunds are available on
services ordered. Discounts cannot be
combined unless otherwise noted. A $35 fee
will be charged for any returned checks.
Overdue balances are subject to a $10
rebilling fee plus 1.5% of the unpaid
balance every 30 days past due. Clients are
responsible for all collection costs,
including time required to collect on an
account. At
least 24 hours notice is required on all
canceled appointments. One missed meeting or
two missed phone appointments without prior
notice count as one consult session, and
will be billed as one hour of consulting
time. After three unreturned phone and/or
email messages, no further attempts to
contact the client will be made until the
client follows up. Terms are subject to change without
notice; however, a current copy of our terms is
always available online or by request.
