College Selection

Career Solutions helps you choose a college by narrowing down your options to those that best fit your educational goals, then providing in-depth research into things like accreditation, school amenities, size, cost, sports, and other special considerations.

College may not be in your plans, but many of the promising jobs of the future will require some kind of technical training. Career Solutions helps you evaluate your other options, such as:

  • On-the-Job Training

  • Apprenticeships

  • Technical Schools

  • Military Training

  • Community Colleges

  • Universities

With over 10,000 colleges in the United States and the cost of some exceeding $40,000 a year, choosing the right college can be just as challenging as choosing the right career.

Step 1: Narrow Down Your Options

How it works:

You: Complete our College Preference Profile.

We: Provide you with a list of colleges that fit your preferences for location, campus size, cost, curriculum, sports and activities, student housing, and many others listed in your profile. The goal in this step is to generate a College Options List that contains all the schools that fit your needs, then rank them by which ones best fit your preferences both nationally and locally.

Step 2: In-Depth College Research

How it works:

You: Pick the top 3-5 colleges from your College Options List.

We: Do more in-depth research and comparisons of the 3-5 top colleges on your list by breaking them down into 8 key criteria from your profile. What makes this research unique is that we rank colleges based on your goals, and much like the career research process, you set what factors are most important. We also provide you with a current catalog from each of your final colleges to compare, and can even help you arrange for a campus tour, which is highly recommended.
